Q:  How can I volunteer?
A:
  We need fundraising volunteers, people to serve on committees and people to be actively involved in program activities. To inquire about volunteer opportunities, call 429-1052 ext. 111 and ask for Lori.     top

Q:  Who benefits from Easter Seals programs?
A:
  Easter Seals programs range from helping the very young to the very old. Those with permanent or temporary disabilities can receive help, as well as, any child needing daycare services, with or without disabilities. Some services have a fee or a sliding fee scale. Many services are free.     top

Q: How does Easter Seals Receive its funding?
A:
Easter Seals receives grants, Federal Government funds, United Way donations, fees from third party payers for speech, physical therapy services, and child care fees. We also raise funds through donations from clubs, organizations, individuals, businesses, and special grants as well.     top

Q: What do I need to do to borrow a wheelchair, walker, shower chair, cane, hospital bed, or ramp?
A:
  A doctor's prescription is needed to borrow a wheelchair or any medical equipment loaned for a 3-month period of time, or less.  A donation is requested.  Contact Kay  at 429-1052 ext. 101.   top

Q:  How do I sign my up for Therapy?
A:
  A doctor's prescription is needed. We accept public aid medical cards and/or insurance. Applications for fee reductions or scholarships are available.. Contact Gaye at (217) 429-1052 ext. 107 to make an appointment.      top

Q:  Who can attend Discovery Depot Child Care Center?
A:  Any child, ages 6 weeks to 6 years, who needs full time child care. We care for up to 45 children, providing pre-Kindergarten skills, potty training, and nutritional meals, served in a family-style setting.   We accept child care subsidy payments and private pay.  We can provide quality care for children with and without disabilities in our inclusive setting. A:  93% of our contributions will stay in the Central Illinois area for direct services to over 1200 clients each year.     top
