Easter Seals Central Illinois offers
speech and physical therapy services to children and adults, both in center and
offsite. Physical therapy is offered to age 18.
Therapy is provided by registered
and licensed therapists. Therapists are also credentialed and enrolled as
providers of Early Intervention (birth to age 3) services as required.
Easter Seals therapists are able to perform therapy with all ages of
clients. The Center employs individuals who are caring and knowledgeable in
their field and who have experience working with families.
One of the main objectives of our therapy
services is to encourage parental involvement and to provide training for
parents. Parents have a major influence in their child's learning and
development. Parents, or caregivers, are to be present during their
child's therapy (either in the therapy room, observation area, or waiting area).
While Easter Seals is a
non-for-profit organization, there is a fee for all therapy services. We do have a sliding
fee scale based on family size and income. It is our practice to bill the State of
Illinois Early Intervention System, the Illinois Department of Public Aid, the Division of
Specialized Care for Children, and commercial health insurance carriers. Please speak to
our accountant for further information and assistance.
We are confident that we directly
impact the lives of those who seek our assistance. 91% of our clients meet developmental
progress in expected time frames and 100% reported high satisfaction with the service they
received. 100% of families report benefits from our services
following discharge.
